Abstract

This report details the results obtained at NPL during work on a CIPM key comparison in the force range up to 10 kN. The protocol of the exercise enabled a direct comparison between the forces realised at NPL and those generated at the pilot laboratory to be made. The results give confidence that the uncertainties claimed by the two laboratories are reasonable and should be acceptable to the international community for inclusion in the BIPM database of measurement capabilities.
