Abstract

This document is intended as an introductory guide for those within NPL, and external partners, who are looking to design a data model which best represents the type of work they conduct and aligns to the organisation’s goal of becoming a digital national measurement institute (D-NMI)

The aim of this guide is 1) to start a discussion as to what data modelling means for NPL, 2) to provide a template to build a data model for measurement and business data, and 3) to discuss case examples of data modelling within the organisation.
