Abstract

This document is a guide to the non-destructive assessment of coating adhesion both for the purposes of manufacturing quality assurance and onsite inspection. The different nondestructive techniques that are available are described highlighting their advantages and limitation. The key factors that should be taken into account when selecting a technique, for a particular application, are covered and short protocols on the use of the most promising techniques are provided.
