Abstract
The guide describes METROS (the METROlogy Software environment) which is a system to provide metrologists access to software appropriate to their needs. It gives an overview of the system and describes the conceptual structure of METROS. The user will access METROS via the WWW and we describe the externally visible structure of the web interface. We explain the internal structure of METROS and how the various components should be kept in alignment. We also explain what is required to make contributions to METROS and how new components are added.
