Abstract
The extensional flow behaviour of polymer melts is important in processing. This guide details the measurement of the extensional flow properties of polymer melts using tensile stretching methods. It describes practical considerations for measuring extensional flow behaviour, the analysis of the experimental data and an assessment of the uncertainties of the method.
