Abstract

Covering the advantages and disadvantages of the wide range of possible testing geometries including existing standards, with literature reference; frictional effects and other errors, and means of reducing them; large deflection analysis for thin discs (eg. substrates); measurement of elastic properties using disc resonance or impact excitation methods.
