The New Technology Directions Committee (NTDC) of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society has been invited to contribute an article about the future directions in the fields of antennas and propagation to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation. The NTDC has established three Working Groups (WGs) within the Committee. WG-1 focuses on advancement of materials and manufacturing processes for future antenna applications. WG-2 focuses on advances in communications, sensing and imaging. WG-3 focuses on maximizing the societal impact of wireless connectivity. In this invited paper, members and collaborators of WG 1, 2, and 3 contribute to Sections II, III, and IV, respectively.
