Abstract

A bi-lateral comparison of a 0.5 gram to 0.001 gram set of weights has been carried out between the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and the Danish Institute of Fundamental Metrology (DFM). The mass values of sixteen out of seventeen measured weights agree to within the combined standard uncertainty (k=l) of the two laboratories. This represents an excellent agreement and gives confidence in the measurements performed by both laboratories.
