Abstract

We employ an optical frequency comb as a transfer oscillator to synthesise microwave signals at 10 GHz through down-conversion of 1542 nm ultra-stable lasers, exhibiting a low-phase-noise of –100 dBc/Hz at 1 Hz offset frequency.
