Abstract

The NPL hig temperature radiation thermometry calibration facility consisting of high tempera re blackbody sources and a standard transfer pyrometer is described. The perform ce of the system and the uncertainty budget for the scale realisation is given. It is sh wn that using a suitably calibrated transfer pyrometer, it is possible to realise and. ercompare the ITS-90 above the silver point with a 2s uncertainty of better than O. 5% of temperature.
