Abstract

As part of Pinnacle treatment planning commissioning, a practical approach to report output factors for small fields (0.5x0.5 up to 3x3cm2) using the daysi chain was investigated. Experimental field size and detector specific correction factors were also determined. Comparison between the two methods was reported. Output factors for all the relevant field sizes (0.5x0.5 up to 40x40cm2) were determined for the NPL Linac with the Agility head. The results allows for a set of reference data that are also useful for comparison with measurements performed during the NPL beam data acquisition service RD18, for similar linacs and conditions as the ones in the report.
