Abstract

This is an introductory guide that aims to help first-time users who have no experience of how to measure temperature beyond what they may have picked up in the school, college or everyday life. The guide discusses the basic concepts and types of instrument used in temperature measurement. For each instrument, we will discuss technical features, practical issues, applications and sources of error.
