Wolfgang Richter provides a timely reminder of the required usage of quantities, symbols, and measurement units for the preparation of tables and graphs for publications in ACQUAL, generally in accordance with the recommendations of the IUPAC `Green Book' which ACQUAL's `Instructions to Authors' cites as a normative text. However, it is noteworthy that the Green Book states "the notation 100x is to be preferred to x/% in tables and graphs", and therefore, by inference, it may be assumed that "100x" is also to be preferred to the "x (%)" notation suggested.
