Abstract

The aim of this paper is to outline the purpose, the rationale, and the need for a new international guide for measurement software. The method of constructing the guide including the risk-based approach and the progress is described. The work is being done with the collaboration of the National Measurement Institutes: Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
