Abstract

This report describes the work carried out in Phase 1 of the above SM&T project. It describes the results of the thermal conductivity measurements made on the Expanded Polystyrene material selected as the core of the calibration panels. It gives the results of the limited intercomparison of these measurements and discusses some of the issues raised by that intercomparison exercise. The specification of the glazed calibration panels and the fabrication procedures to use are given. Finally, the proposed timetable is given for phase two of the project.
