Abstract

We present the utilisation of two jitter reduction techniques to measure the intrinsic jitter of a 10 Gbits/s transceiver. We use In-phase and Quadrature referencing technique to remove the jitter due to sampling oscilloscope used for the measurement and the pulse-carving technique to provide low jitter optical data stream to the receiver of the transceiver.
