Abstract

The MAVIS system (Measurement of Area and Volume Instrument System), developed by Isotec Imaging, is a portable stereo-optical system that measures the area and volume of wounds, and records their colour. Under a collaborative project, Isotec Imaging and the National Physical Laboratory have developed dimensional artefacts to enable the calibration of MAVIS, and considered various strategies for characterising the digital camera to produce CIE colorimetry from RGB image files.
