Abstract

This Guide presents guidance for good practice in measurement of the slip velocity of molten plastics by capillary extrusion rheometry. It: describes capillary extrusion rheometry testing and its application to the determination of slip velocities, provides guidance on the measurement of slip velocities, presents results of the measurement of slip velocities, including results from an intercomparison, and presents an uncertainty analysis of slip velocity measurement.
