Abstract

Dr Richard J C Brown, corresponding author at the Analytical Science Group, NPL, Teddington, describes the role of the UK Heavy Metals Monitoring Network which comprises 17 monitoring sites across the UK. The Network was created in 2001 from existing 'Lead in Petrol', 'Industrial Metals' and 'Multi-element' Network sites, and has been managed and operated by NPL since October 2004.
