Abstract

This report describes the experience of creating a demonstration of a new calibration and measurement service for calibrating Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs), which are used to measure optical fibre, to run over the internet. The report covers a description of the calibration and measurement service, the generic software to support the development of internet services and some guidelines on how to develop such services.
