Abstract

This report provides the results of a series of property measurements on a range of representative engineering alloys to assist in the deformation modelling of high rate compression tests. The measurements include thermal expansion, thermal diffusivity and specific heat. The alloys include an Al alloy (AA5052), two stells (an eutectoid composition and a 316 stainless steel), and a Ni alloy (Mimonic 901).
