Abstract

This report summarises the results obtained with the oscillating viscometer in the period 1.4.96 to 31.3.99. The temperature range of the viscometer has been extended to 1650 °c by introducing, commissioning and calibrating a new furnace. Results have been obtained for pure metals (Hg, Sn, AI, Cu, Fe and Ni) and alloys (Cu/Sn, Ni-IN 718, Co-X45, and two steels). Recommended relationships are given for the temperature dependencies of the various samples and the data are compared with literature values.
