Abstract

The efficiency of high value manufacturing processes can be enhanced by improving temperature measurement and control capabilities. In this article we explore new fibre-optic thermometry developments as part of the European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR) project ‘Enhanced process efficiency through improved temperature measurement – EMPRESS 2’.
