Abstract
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was performed on the meniscus of a droplet of ionic liquid 1-Propyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide [PMIM]+[NTf2]– (Solarpur®) in ultra-high vacuum. High resolution spectra of F1s, O1s, N1s, C1s, and S2p are presented along with a survey spectrum and the valence band structure. The spectra presented here were generated using monochromatic Al Kα radiation (1486.6 eV).
