Abstract

This document describes the protocol for sample handling, preparation and measurements in the VAMAS TWA 34 project 10, interlaboratory comparison study (ILC) on the measurement of number concentration of colloidal gold nanoparticles (NPs). For the study, one ready-to-measure sample is supplied, the concentration of which is known with a standard uncertainty of 20%. In addition, the participants are requested to prepare two more samples by dilution and to measure their concentration. This last activity is optional. Specific guidance is given on sample storage, handling, preparation, measurement and data reporting.
