Abstract

Impedance mismatch between antenna and its feeding port, and between other connecting ports will directly affect antenna gain measurement results. A full-port impedance mismatch model based on signal flow analysis and corresponding correction formula has been developed, and correction values can be obtained by using measured scattering parameters. The impedance mismatch correction uncertainty and its probability distribution evaluation using Monte Carlo method is proposed. Impedance mismatch correction error is one of dominant uncertainty sources in antenna gain measurement, this work provides an effective method for evaluating extrapolation gain measurement uncertainty.
