Abstract

We present the first field-trial of a quantum-secured DWDM transmission system, where real time refreshed quantum keys and up to 4x10 Gb /s encrypted data are simultaneously transmitted over 26 km of installed fiber. Quantum keys are refreshed approximately every 100 s and are used for AES-236 encryption for the 10 Gb/s data traffic. Scalability to over 40 DWDM channels is analyzed.
