Abstract

This paper presents a modeling approach for the study of anisotropic magnetoresistance phenomenona in magnetic nanostructures, based on the coupling of a micromagnetic code, for the computation of magnetization configuration, with a magnetotransport model for the simulation of current density distribution. The modeling approach is validated by comparison to magnetoresistance measurements performed on a permalloy L-shaped nanowire, focusing on the influence of the applied field magnitude and orientation.
