Abstract

This report presents the results from an international comparison of the analysis of real nonconventional gas samples. Eight laboratories participated in the task, which involved the collection and analysis of samples of real energy gases from a variety of locations in Europe. Coal mine and coal bed methane were analysed for their composition. Samples of raw and processed biogas were analysed for composition and also impurities such as hydrogen sulphide and siloxanes. The study was part of the three year EMRP project entitled `Characterisation of energy gases¿. The results obtained by the participating laboratories are presented and discussed.
