Abstract

This paper describes the current status of an experiment designed to make absolute frequency measurements of a series of optical two-photon 2S-nS,D transitions in atomic hydrogen. When combined with results from several other experiments worldwide, these measurements will contribute to an improved determination of the Rydberg constant.
