Abstract
This report presents a strategy for determining suitable line lengths for calibrating waveguide Vector Network Analysers (VNAs) to enable high precision measurements to be made at millimetre and sub-millimetre wavelengths. The strategy is based around the Thru-Reflect-Line calibration technique. The method is used to obtain a set of lines suitable for use over the frequency range 90 GHz to 500 GHz but is also extendable to higher frequencies. Some practical experiments in the frequency range 75 GHz to 110 GHz are provided to validate the method.
