Abstract

Using an open-ended waveguide against a flat phantom provides a means of validating systems for measuring specific absorption rate (SAR) of microwave energy at 5.2 GHz and 5.8 GHz. This report describes computer simulations of waveguide WR159 against a flat phantom. Results for the SAR distribution in the phantom are presented.
