Abstract
This report reviews the current status of top echelon limpedance measurement in the UK over the frequency range 30 to 300 MHz (VHF) of the electromagnetic spectrum. The term impedance is used to describe one of the complex electrical properties of one-port passive terminations. Some fundamental concepts of VHF impedance measurement are given along with discussions on the measuring instruments, calibration standards and existing UK national standard capabilities.
