This report describes methods for evaluating the uncertainties associated with the results of continuous models, and provides case studies of the application of these methods to real problems. The methods include sampling methods such as Monte Carlo simulation, analytical methods such as stochastic differential equations, and methods used for particular types of problem such as Structural Energy Analysis. The case studies apply some of the methods to three real metrology problems and demonstrate the benefits and disadvantages of the methods.
