Abstract

Absolute frequency measurements of optical frequency standards are being made at NPL using a femtosecond optical frequency comb referenced to a hydrogen maser. In particular, measurements of a transportable methane-stabilized helium-neon laser system provides a test of the femtosecond comb at the few parts in 10 13 level.
