Abstract

A method based on Monte Carlo Simulations (MCS) is described for calculating the uncertainties in the magnitude and phase of a complex-valued quantity from the uncertainties in its real and imaginary components. Some example 95% coverage intervals are presented and the coverage probability of the corresponding region in the complex plane is examined.
